University of Utah Hospitals & Clinics
Dr. Linda Tyler is the Administrative Director of Pharmacy Services Director at the University of Utah Hospitals & Clinics and Associate Dean, University of Utah College of Pharmacy. Prior to assuming her position as Administrative Director last year, Dr. Tyler was Director of the Drug Information Service at Utah. She is currently program director for the Health Systems Pharmacy Administration residency and a preceptor for the Pharmacy Practice Residency. Previously she served as program director for the Drug Information Residency.
She is a frequent speaker both locally and nationally on topics such as new drugs, literature evaluation, medication safety, new drug development and adverse drug reactions. Her other areas of interest include evidence based decision making and drug policy development. Prior to joining the staff at University of Utah Hospitals & Clinics 23 years ago, she worked as a poison control specialist and as a critical care specialist at Columbus Children's Hospital and University of Wisconsin respectively. She is a graduate of the University of Utah and completed a pharmacy residency at the University of Nebraska Medical Center.
