Tina Oden, CPhT
I received my Pharmacy Technician certification in 2000. I have attended Shelton State Community College where I pursued a degree in Computer Science, but due to personal reasons I have decided that I am content as a Certified Pharmacy Technician because it is truly not just a job, but a career. In the future, I will perhaps continue my education in the pursuit of a PharmD degree.
My employment background has been in various pharmacy related positions. Currently, I am a full-time Certified Pharmacy Technician at the Tuscaloosa Veterans Medical Center, a part-time Certified Pharmacy Technician at DCH Northport Medical Center, and the President and founder of ALAPT, Alabama Association of Pharmacy Technician. In the past, I served as the Pharmacy Technical Supervisor at DCH Regional Medical Center, an Instructor at the University of Alabama teaching students to sit for and pass the PTCB examination, and a speaker at several Pharmacy Continuing Education programs.
I grew up in Jersey City, NJ and I am currently residing in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time and traveling with my Husband, children, and extended family.
My goal is to continue promoting Pharmacy Technician as a career. And, by learning everything I can about the field and sharing my knowledge with other Pharmacy Technicians.
