Ryan Forrey,

Ryan A. Forrey is an Assistant Director, Department of Pharmacy, The Ohio State University Medical Center (OSUMC), and a Clinical Assistant Professor at The Ohio State University (OSU) College of Pharmacy, Columbus, Ohio.
Dr. Forrey received a Doctor of Pharmacy at The University of Arizona, Tucson, Arizona. He received a Master of Science in Health-System Pharmacy Administration and also completed an ASHP-accredited Specialty Practice Residency in Health-System Pharmacy Administration at The Ohio State University Medical Center, Columbus, Ohio
Dr. Forrey has published articles in the field of clinical pharmacy, with emphasis on medication errors and prevention. He has presented on numerous topics, including pharmacy technician management, USP Chapter 797, medication errors, drug interactions, pandemic flu preparedness, hazardous medications, and other related issues affecting pharmacy practice today. In his position at The Ohio State University Medical Center he is responsible for the pharmacy operations of the inpatient cancer hospital and four hospital-based ambulatory chemotherapy infusion clinics. In this capacity he has over 30 direct reports, including pharmacists, interns, and technicians. He teaches graduate-level lectures on the topics of technician and human resources management at the OSU College of Pharmacy, and serves as a preceptor for the Health-System Pharmacy Administration Residency Program at OSUMC. He is active in professional pharmacy organizations at the local, state, and national levels, and has served on several executive committees of national and state organizations.

Christopher Fortier,
PharmD, Manager, Pharmacy Support Services,
Medical University of South Carolina
Christopher Fortier is the Manager of Pharmacy Support Services at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) and a Clinical Assistant Professor with the South Carolina College of Pharmacy MUSC Campus. Dr. Fortier received his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Connecticut and completed both a PGY-1 Practice Residency and a PGY-2 Health-System Pharmacy Administration Residency at the Medical University of South Carolina Medical Center.
As the Manager of Pharmacy Support Services he oversees procurement/contracting, controlled substances, repackaging, compounding, given-in-clinic, and investigational drug services. Dr. Fortier also has lead the implementation of bar code medication administration, smart infusions pumps, and medication reconciliation across the organization.
Dr. Fortier served on the ASHP New Practitioners Forum Executive Committee for two years, serving as the vice-chair in 2006-2007. Additionally, with the New Practitioners Forum he chaired the Communications and Public Affairs Advisory Group (2005-2007) and was a member of the Leadership and Career Development Advisory Group (2003-2005, 2007-2008). As a member of the ASHP Practice Manager Section he serves as the immediate-past chair on the sections Leadership Development Advisory Group (2005-present). Additionally, he is a representative on the ASHP Foundations Center for Health-System Pharmacy Leadership Student & New Practitioner Leadership Task Force (2007-present). Dr. Fortier is also involved with the University HealthSystem Consortiums (UHC) Pharmacy Council in which he is a member of the Pharmacy Councils Executive Committee and chairs the Medication Use Informatics and Technology Committee.

Erin Hendrick,
PharmD, MS, Director, Performance Improvement-Pharmacy,
Hospital Corporation of America
Erin Hendrick is currently Director of Performance Improvement in Pharmacy for HCA. She graduated from The Ohio State University with her Pharm.D. in 2004 and from The Ohio State University and Medical Center with her M.S. in Health-System Pharmacy Administration in 2006.

James Jorgenson,
RPh, MS, Administrative Director of Pharmacy,
Clarian Health
As Executive Director of the Department of Pharmacy Services, Mr. Jorgenson's responsibilities include the direction and leadership for all pharmacy programs at the Clarian Medical Center complex. Inpatient services provide direct pharmacy care for the 350 bed Indiana University Medical Center, the 276 bed Riley Childrens Hospital, the 54 bed Indiana University Simon Cancer Center, and the 1,000 bed Clarian Methodist Hospital. Ambulatory programs include 9 retail pharmacies, a mail order pharmacy and a variety of ambulatory clinical pharmacy services.
Mr. Jorgenson earned a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy and a Master of Science in Hospital Pharmacy from the University of Minnesota. He also completed a two year residency in Hospital Pharmacy Administration at United and Children's Hospital in St. Paul, Minnesota. He has served on editorial and advisory boards for health care providers and industry. He has also been an active member of ASHP, serving on the ASHP Goals Committee, the Commission on Credentialing and the Councils for Legal and Public Affairs and Administrative Affairs and in numerous state affiliated chapter positions. Mr. Jorgenson has authored over 30 publications and has provided over 100 invited presentations both nationally and internationally.
Previous to joining Clarian, Mr. Jorgenson was the Administrative Director for Pharmacy and the Associate Dean for Pharmacy at the University of Utah. He was also responsible for the operation of Drug Information Services supporting the 2002 Winter Olympic Games as well as the Polyclinic Pharmacy which provided pharmacy services to the athletes and Olympic family.

Kathryn Montanya is Director, Department of Pharmacy, at Forsyth Medical Center (FMC) in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. At over 950 beds, FMC is the largest hospital in the Novant Health system.
Dr. Montanya received a Doctor of Pharmacy at The University of Montana, Missoula, Montana. She received a Master of Science in Health-System Pharmacy Administration and also completed an ASHP-accredited Specialty Practice Residency in Health-System Pharmacy Administration at The Ohio State University Medical Center, Columbus, Ohio. She completed a fellowship in Safe Medication Management at The Institute for Safe Medication Practices.
Dr. Montanya has published articles in the field of medication safety and regulatory issues. She has presented on numerous topics, including medication errors, Root Cause Analysis, Failure Mode and Effects Analysis, and culture of safety. In her position at Forsyth Medical Center she leads a multidisciplinary regional medication safety team. She is involved in professional pharmacy organizations at the state and national level.
