Douglas Slain,
PharmD, BCPS, Associate Professor and Anti-Infective Clinical Specialist,
West Virginia University
Dr. Douglas Slain is an Associate Professor and Anti-infective Specialist at West Virginia University. He received his Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy degree and his Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from Duquesne University. He completed a residency and fellowship in Infectious Diseases Pharmacotherapy at the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond.
Dr. Slains clinical practice sites at WVU include the Infectious Diseases Consult Service and the outpatient Infectious Diseases clinic. He serves as the Program Director of the Infectious Diseases Pharmacotherapy Residency at WVU.
Additionally, Dr. Slain was selected as Clinician of the Year by the Society of Infectious Diseases Pharmacists in 2007 and named a Fellow of the American College of Clinical Pharmacy (ACCP) in 2008

University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, College of Pharmacy
Paul O. Gubbins, Pharm.D. is currently Professor and Chair of the Department of Pharmacy Practice in the College of Pharmacy at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. He received his Pharm.D from the University of Illinois at Chicago in 1988, and did a two year Clinical Pharmacy Residency at the University of Kentucky. Upon completing his residency he returned to his alma mater to complete a two year research fellowship in Infectious Disease Pharmacology. Dr. Gubbins joined the faculty of the UAMS College of Pharmacy in 1992. Hew was appointed Chair of the Pharmacy Practice Department in 2003. Dr. Gubbins is a member of the UAMS Infectious Disease Consult Service at University Hospital. He has published many articles concerning the pharmacokinetics and use of antifungal agents.
