Donald Filibeck,

Dr. Donald Filibeck serves as Critical Care Systems National Director, Pharmacy Services, providing clinical pharmacy support for all CCS branch locations. He received his Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy and Doctorate of Pharmacy degrees from the University of Michigan and his Master of Business Administration degree from Baldwin-Wallace College, Berea, Ohio.
In his current role Dr. Filibeck, along with other resources in the clinical services department, is responsible for developing policies/procedures, clinical protocols, reviewing clinical services, branch operational audits and JCAHO preparation.
During his 18 years in the home infusion industry, he has held a number of different roles, ranging from branch pharmacy manager to regional infusion manager for a large, national infusion company. He has been responsible for running the day-to-day operations (including reimbursement) of a hospital-based infusion program and has overseen clinical services in a large, multi-site region. Responsibilities have also included sales support, clinical protocol development, site evaluation and JCAHO preparation.
Dr. Filibeck is also currently a surveyor for the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) in the Home Care program.
He has been very active in professional organizations including the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (having served as Chair of the Home Care Section and a delegate at large), the Ohio Society of Health-System Pharmacists and the National Home Infusion Association (currently Chair, Standards Committee). He has presented numerous times at national pharmacy meetings on topics such as care planning, competency assessment, operational analysis and benchmarking.

Douglas Lang,
RPh, Sr. Director Specialty Pharmacy Practice,
Express Scripts
Douglas Lang is a graduate of the Saint Louis College of Pharmacy. He has extensive experience in hospital, home care and specialty pharmacy. Prior to joining Express Scripts, he served as the Pharmacy Manager of the BJC Home Infusion Program. Currently, he is an active member of the Saint Louis Society of Health System Pharmacists, the Missouri Society of Health System Pharmacists and has served in leadership roles for both organizations. He is an active member of the American Society of Health System Pharmacist and represents the Missouri Society of Health System Pharmacists as a delegate to the ASHP House of Delegates. He is a member of the National Association of Board of Pharmacy and served on the Missouri Board of Pharmacy. His daily role at Express Scripts is to serve as a resource to the organization in the provision of specialty pharmacy and distribution practices in meeting the medication needs of patients. He has been recognized by the Saint Louis College of Pharmacy as a Distinguish Alumni for his contributions to pharmacy.

Sandy Matiko-DeSanzo is the Manager of Payor Audits for Accredo Health Group, Inc., a Medco Company. Sandy has been employed with Accredo for over 11 years and has a total of over 16 years experience in the healthcare arena. Sandy's experience at Accredo has primarily been in payor auditing, quality assurance, and management in these areas. Since 2004, Sandy has been a member of Accredos External Payor Response Department and most recently was promoted to Manage the team. Her team responds to payor audits on behalf of Accredo and its subsidiaries.
Sandy obtained her Certified Pharmacy Technician certification in July 2005. Sandy graduated with a Masters of Science in Organizational Leadership in 2005 and a Bachelors of Science in Human Resources in 2003 from Geneva College in Beaver Falls, PA.

Darryl Rich,

The Joint Commission
Darryl S. Rich currently is a part-time Surveyor for The Joint Commission in the hospital, home care, and ambulatory accreditation programs. He also works as part of the Joint Commission's Standards Interpretation Group, serving as an internal resource on pharmacy and medication management issues. He has been with the Joint Commission for over 16 years, the first 10 of which he worked in the Joint Commission headquarters in surveyor management and development.
Darryl received his Doctor of Pharmacy degree (PharmD) from the University of California at San Francisco, and a MBA in Health Care Management from Bryant University in Rhode Island.
He also completed an ASHP accredited residency in hospital pharmacy from Rhode Island Hospital. Prior to coming to the Joint Commission, Darryl was Director of Pharmacy Services at Boston University Medical Center and Clinical Assistant Professor of Pharmacy at Northeastern University. He also served as National Director of Pharmacy Services for Critical Care America, Inc., a national home infusion company.
He is active member and Fellow in the American Society of Health System Pharmacists and a past President of the New England Council of Health-System Pharmacists. He has received numerous awards including the 2000 Cheers award by the Institute for Safe Medication Practices, and received a Certificate of Appreciation from the Board of ASHP in 2004 for his work in medication safety at the Joint Commission.
As of December 2008, Darryl has 565 invited professional presentations and 75 publications in refereed journals, including 8 books and 4 video series.
