Kevin Garey, PharmD, MS is an Associate Professor at the University of Houston College of Pharmacy and Chair of the Department of Clinical Sciences and Administration. He received a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy degree from Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, a Doctor of Pharmacy from SUNY Buffalo in Buffalo, NY, and a Masters of Science in Biometry from the University of Texas School of Public Health in Houston, Texas. Postdoctoral training includes a pharmacy practice residency in Cooperstown, NY and infectious disease specialty residency and fellowship training in Chicago, IL. Dr. Garey's research interests involve infectious disease epidemiology and pharmacotherapy in patients with post-surgical infections including sternal wound infections, candidemia, and Clostridium difficile infection.

At the University of Washington Dr. Chan is an Associate Professor in the School of Pharmacy, Interdisciplinary Faculty member of Nutritional Sciences for the Graduate Program in Nutritional Sciences, and a full faculty member of the UW Graduate School.
His areas of interest include absorption kinetics in patients with bariatric surgery, and nutritional and antioxidant therapy in critically ill patients.
He is member of numerous professional organizations, including The American and European Societies for Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition, and the Society of Critical Care Medicine.
He has also been appointed as the associate editor of the Journal of Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition. He has published multiple book chapters, review articles, and original research papers, and has been an invited speaker at scientific and professional conferences throughout the United States, South America, and Southeast Asia.

Jean Nappi,
PharmD, BCPS, Professor of Clinical Pharmacy and Outcome Sciences,
South Carolina College of Pharmacy
Dr. Jean Nappi received her BS in Pharmacy from the State University of NY at Buffalo. She completed her Doctor of Pharmacy degree and residency in internal medicine from the University of Texas at Austin / UT Health Science Center at San Antonio. Dr. Nappi has been on the faculty at the Universities of Wisconsin, Utah, and Houston prior to her current position. She is now Professor of Clinical Pharmacy and Outcome Sciences in the South Carolina College of Pharmacy-MUSC Campus and Professor of Medicine (Cardiology) at the Medical University of South Carolina.
Dr. Nappi has had an active clinical practice with internal medicine and cardiology patients for over 30 years. Dr. Nappi is a board certified pharmacotherapy specialist with added qualifications in cardiology. She designed and established the pharmacotherapy residency program at MUSC.
She is author or co-author of over 100 book chapters, articles and abstracts. In addition, she has been an active member of a number of professional organizations. Dr. Nappi is a past president of the American College of Clinical Pharmacy (ACCP), served on the Board of Directors of the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy (AACP) and chaired the section of Teachers of Pharmacy Practice. She is a fellow of the American College of Clinical Pharmacy. She is the recipient of the ACCP Clinical Practice Award, the Phi Lambda Sigma National Leadership Award and the ACCP Educator Award.
