Nicole Acquisto, Pharm.D. is an emergency medicine clinical pharmacy specialist at the University of Rochester Medical Center in Rochester, NY. She earned her Doctorate of Pharmacy degree in 2005 from the State University of New York at Buffalo, School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences. She then went on to complete an ASHP-accredited Pharmacy Practice Residency at Kaleida Health in Buffalo, NY. After practicing as a clinical staff pharmacist, Dr. Acquisto completed an ASHP-accredited Emergency Medicine/Critical Care Specialty Residency at the University of Rochester in 2008.

Dr. Bridgeman recieved his Pharm.D. from Rutgers University in 2006. He completed his residency in Emergency Medicine at Rutgers University and Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital. He currently works as a pharmacist in the emergency department at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital. His current research interest include acute managment of stroke, thrombolytic use in resuscitation, pharmacokinetics in hypothermic states.

Darrel W. Hughes, Pharm.D., BCPS is the founding Emergency Pharmacist at University Health System and the University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio. He earned his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Texas and the University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio in 2006. Dr. Hughes worked as a staff pharmacist at Harris Methodist Hospital in Fort Worth, Texas for one year prior to returning to San Antonio to complete an ASHP-accredited Pharmacy Practice Residency at University Health System. Upon completion of his residency, Dr. Hughes worked to develop and implement clinical pharmacy services within the emergency department. He participated in the 2008 ASHP Patient-Care Impact Program, Introducing an Emergency Pharmacist into Your Institution and has since published manuscripts on infectious diseases and emergency pharmacy services. He currently serves as a Clinical Pharmacist of Emergency Medicine and Clinical Assistant Professor at University Health System and the University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio.

Dr. Jennett received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Albany College of Pharmacy, in Albany, New York, in 2004. She completed ASHP-accredited residencies in pharmacy practice and emergency medicine at Detroit Receiving Hospital and currently works as a clinical pharmacy specialist in emergency medicine at Detroit Receiving Hospital. Dr. Jennett also serves as the Director for the Emergency Medicine Pharmacy Practice Residency at her institution. She is actively involved in toxicology, emergency preparedness, and in the education of nurses, physicians, and pharmacy students and residents.

Deborah J. Larison, Pharm.D., BCPS, C.Ph. is currently the clinical pharmacy specialist in emergency medicine and the Director of the PGY-2 Emergency Medicine Residency and preceptor for the PGY-1 General Practice Pharmacy Residency at Sarasota Memorial Hospital Emergency Department at in Sarasota, FL. Dr. Larison is adjunct faculty at University of Florida, Palm Beach Atlantic University, and University of Texas colleges of pharmacy. She teaches Emergency Medicine, Toxicology, and Adult/Internal Medicine. Dr. Larison is a licensed consultant pharmacist in Florida. She serves on several committees including Pharmacy & Therapeutics, Special Care, and Emergency Preparedness as well as volunteers for the American Red Cross and the Medical Reserve Corp.
Dr. Larison is Board Certified in Pharmacotherapy, General Practice Residency Trained at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, FL. She has a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from NOVA Southeastern University, Fort Lauderdale, FL as well as Bachelor of Arts Degree in Biology from Florida State University, Tallahassee, FL. Dr. Larison is a member of ASHP, FSHP, ACCP as well as other pharmacy associations.

Dr. Mando-Vandrick graduated from UNC-School of Pharmacy and completed a Pharmacy Practice Residency at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. She then completed a Pulmonary/Critical Care Residency at UNC Hospitals. She has been practicing Emergency Medicine pharmacotherapy at Duke University Hospital for over 5 years. She also serves as the Director of the Critical Care Specialty Residency program.

Dr. Patanwala is an emergency medicine pharmacy specialist at University Medical Center. He serves as the preceptor for students and residents on the trauma team and in the emergency department. He is the coordinator for the final pharmacotherapeutics course in the third year of the PharmD program.
Dr. Patanwala is a board-certified pharmacotherapy specialist. He is The University of Arizona College of Pharmacy student liaison for the American College of Clinical Pharmacy. He is also a member of several other organizations such as the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists, American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy, and the Society of Critical Care Medicine.

John Patka is a Clinical Pharmacist Specialist in emergency medicine at Grady Health System in Atlanta, GA and is the residency director for their PGY-2 program in emergency medicine. Dr Patka is a reviewer for The Annals of Pharmacotherapy, contributing author for Challenger's Emergency Medicine LLSA (Lifelong Learning and Self Assessment), and serves as an adjunct faculty member for Mercer University's school of Pharmacy.

Dr. Reisbig completed her pharmacy practice residency at The Nebraska Medical Center in 2004. She accepted a staff position in the critical care unit, where she spent the first 1.5 years of her career. In November 2005, Dr. Reisbig assisted her department in launching a satellite pharmacy service in the Emergency Department. Since the launch, the program has grown to a 24/7 staffing satellite with 5 dedicated ED pharmacists. Dr. Reisbig serves as a liaison to the staff physicians, serves on ED nursing councils, assists in ED medication policy and protocol developement, ED formulary and pyxis management, instructs physician residents monthly, precepts residents and students, and participates in ED pharmacy research projects. Above all, Dr. Reisbig and ED staff pharmacists strive to serve as a member of the healthcare team to ensure appropriate therapeutic and medication plans are implemented for patient care.

Maria Rudis,

Dr. Maria Rudis graduated from the University of Toronto. She completed a pharmacy residency at the Toronto General Hospital and obtained a Doctor of Pharmacy from the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy and Science. Thereafter she completed a Critical Care Fellowship at Henry Ford Hospital. She is a board certified clinical toxicologist and a Fellow of the American College of Critical Care Medicine. She has developed Emergency Medicine Pharmacy Services at several institutions, including the University of Southern California in Los Angeles where she was faculty for 10 years. Most recently she has joined the Mayo Clinic in Rochester MN where she is Emergency Medicine Clinical Pharmacy Specialist and directs the Emergency Medicine Pharmacy Residency Program and is faculty in the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine. She has held numerous professional society leadership positions, and has contributed significantly to the advancement of both critical care and emergency medicine pharmacy practice. She is an accomplished practitioner, educator and researcher.

University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics
Completed PharmD education at the University of Wisconsin in 2001 along with an acute care pharmacy practice residency at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. Then returned to the University of Wisconsin Hospital as a decentral clinical pharmacist in Neurology. This was transitioned to the emeregency department with the development of clinical pharmacy services in this area which is now the current focus and practice area.

Dr. Sweis is currently the pharmacy clinical manager at Advocate Christ Medical Center. She is also the program director of the Emergency Medicine Pharmacy Residency Program. The efforts of the emergency department pharmacists have led them to two ASHP Best Practice Awards.

Dr. Suprat Saely obtained her bachelors degree from the University of Wisconsin in 2004. She went on to complete her Doctor of Pharmacy degree at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan, in 2008. After graduation, she completed an ASHP-accredited pharmacy practice residency at Sinai-Grace Hospital in Detroit, Michigan. During her residency she fostered a special interest in emergency medicine and is currently completing an emergency medicine specialty residency at Detroit Receiving Hospital in Detroit, Michigan. After completing residency, Dr. Saely plans to pursue a career in emergency medicine. In her spare time, Dr. Saely enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
