Justine Coffey,

Justine Coffey currently works as the director of federal regulatory affairs for the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists. In this position, she advocates ASHPs positions before federal agencies whose regulatory and rulemaking authority impacts on health-system pharmacy. Previously, Justine worked as a consultant, providing health policy consulting services to individual clients and advising state government agencies on federal and state laws, regulations, and policies impacting on Medicaid and other state programs. From 2002 to 2005, she worked for the American Pharmacists Association, first as a policy and regulatory writer, and then as a senior policy analyst handling 340B Drug Pricing Program issues for the HRSA Pharmacy Services Support Center. Justine received her JD degree from American Universitys Washington College of Law and her LLM degree from the Georgetown University Law Center.

Joseph Hill,

Joseph Hill currently serves as director of federal legislative affairs for the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists. He advocates ASHPs positions on critical issues before members of Congress and their staff. Prior to that he was government affairs manager for the American Society of Consultant Pharmacists where he represented ASCP before state and federal legislators. Mr. Hill holds a Master of Arts degree in political science from the University of Tennessee and a Bachelor of Arts in political science from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.

Kevin Marvin,

Kevin received the Distinguished Service Award from the Section of Pharmacy Informatics and Technology in 2008. He is the chair of the ASHP Membership Advisory Committee and Vermont delegate to the ASHP House of Delegates.
Kevin is a fellow of the Health Information Management Systems Society (HIMSS) where he is a member of the Patient Safety Steering Committee and ePrescribing Task Force. He has also served on JCAHO and AHRQ advisory groups on information technology.
Kevin contributed a chapter for a book on safe use of technology, titled Medication Safety: A Guide for Healthcare Facilities, which was published by ASHP. He also wrote a chapter for a book on ePrescribing for The Informatics Primer, another ASHP publication.
Kevin has been involved in Pharmacy Information systems for 25 years. His health system experience includes University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics (9 years), Health Alliance of Cincinnati (4 years), and Fletcher Allen Healthcare, Burlington, Vermont (5 years). Kevin currently is an independent consultant and recently completed a project to install the Eclipsys medication management system at the NIH Clinical Center, Bethesda, Maryland.
Kevin is a Pharmacist and has a M.S. degree in Computer Science, both from the University of Wisconsin. His expertise is in the design, development and implementation of automation and information system tools to support safety, quality, efficiency and cost effectiveness in the medication use process.

Kasey Thompson,

Dr. Kasey Thompson is Vice President of the Office of Policy, Planning and Communications, and Director of the Practice Standards Division at the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) in Bethesda, Maryland. He previously served as the Director of the ASHP Center on Patient Safety, and the Director of the ASHP Practice Standards and Quality Division.
Dr. Thompson has published numerous articles, editorials, and book chapters on medication-use safety and quality. He is co-editor along with Dr. Henri R. Manasse, Jr., of the 2005 book: Medication Safety: A Guide for Health Care Facilities. Dr. Thompson has given presentations nationally and internationally, and has served on numerous advisory committees for the federal government, and other public and private sector organizations. As a spokesperson for ASHP, Dr. Thompson has appeared on CNN, CNBC, NBC; and has been quoted in the New York Times, Washington Post, Wall Street Journal, USA Today, Business Week, LA Times, and various other print and electronic media outlets.
Dr. Thompson holds a Bachelor of Science degree in cellular biology from Northeastern State University in Oklahoma; and Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Pharmacy degrees from the University of Oklahoma, College of Pharmacy.

Geralyn Trujillo,
MPP, Director, State Government Affairs,
American Society of Health-System Pharmacists
Geralyn is the current State Government Affairs Director at the ASHP and has worked in state health policy for over five years. Prior to coming to ASHP, she was the Senior Health Policy Analyst for State Issues with the American Academy of Actuaries. While at the Academy, her work concentrated on Medicaid, Medicare Part D, long-term care, and disease management programs from an actuarially-sound perspective. Prior to the Academy, she worked with the American Psychiatric Association as the Administrator for Commercially-Supported Symposia and as a Scientific Program Coordinator.
Geralyn earned her Masters in Public Policy, with a concentration in Public Administration, from the American University in Washington, D.C. She earned her undergraduate degree in Business Administration and Management from Virginia Commonwealth University.
