Joseph Saseen, PharmD, Associate Professor, University of Colorado Denver
Dr. Saseen is an Associate Professor of Clinical Pharmacy and Family Medicine at the University of Colorado Denver. He is a Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist with added qualifications in cardiology, is certified as a Clinical Lipid Specialist, and is a Fellow of the American College of Clinical Pharmacy. Dr. Saseen received both his B.S. pharmacy degree and PharmD degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo and then completed an ambulatory care research fellowship at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Dr. Saseen is a member of the Board of Directors for the National Lipid Association's Accreditation Council for Clinical Lipidology.

Joel Marrs, PharmD, BCPS, Clinical Assistant Professor, Oregon State University/Oregon Health and Science University
Dr. Joel Marrs is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Pharmacy Practice at the Oregon State University/Oregon Health & Science University (OSU/OHSU) College of Pharmacy. He is a Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist and is certified as a Clinical Lipid Specialist by the Accreditation Council for Clinical Lipidology. Dr. Marrs received his PharmD degree from the Butler University. He then went on to complete a postgraduate year 1 (PGY1) pharmacy practice residency at Mount Carmel Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio. He then completed a PGY2 Family Medicine Specialty residency at the University of Colorado Denver and Health Sciences center. In his current position, Dr. Marrs practices as a clinical pharmacy specialist with the OHSU Department of Family Medicine where he rounds with the inpatient Family Medicine teams, while educating pharmacy and medical students. His research and other scholarly endeavors focus on cardiovascular and metabolic pharmacotherapy. Recent and ongoing research is in the area of optimizing CV risk reduction pharmacotherapy and improving goal attainment rates. Dr. Marrs is the acting director of the Oregon Pharmacy Teaching Certificate (OPTC) program which provides teaching workshops and classroom teaching experience for pharmacy residents in the state of Oregon.
