I have over 30 years of hospital pharmacy practice experience with a majority of it in a leadership role as superviser, manager and director. My practice has included metro area hospitals in Minnesota as well as smaller, rural hospitals in Alaska and Montana. I recently returned to practicing as a staff pharmacist, giving me fresh insight into pharmacy practice in today's hospital and healthcare system. I continue to be active in mentoring and precepting pharmacy students. I have worked with technicians in retail/community, hospital and home care settings and have been a tutor for several technicians preparing for the certification exam. I am a member of ASHP, APhA, MSHP (Minnesota) and MPhA (Minnesota).I have a strong interest in the future of the profession and have served as MSHP president 2003/2004 and will be serving as MPhA president 2008/2009.
