Mr. Churchill is the Executive Director of Pharmacy Services at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts where he is responsible for leadership of the pharmacy department. Mr. Churchill also serves Brigham and Women’s hospital as the Chairperson of the Drug Safety Committee, Vice Chairperson of the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee, and Co-Chairperson of the eMAR/Bar Code Scanning Project Team. He also serves the Partners Healthcare Network as the Co-Chairperson of the High Performance Medicine improvement team focused on medication safety technology. Mr Churchill serves as the Chairperson of the University Hospital Consortium’s Pharmacy Financial Performance Committee and as a member of the UHC Pharmacy Executive Committee. For his efforts in improving medication safety worldwide, Mr. Churchill was awarded the 2007 American Society of HealthSystem Pharmacists’ (ASHP) Distinguished Leadership Award and the 2008 Massachusetts HealthSystem Pharmacist of the Year Award by the Massachusetts Society of HealthSystem Pharmacists (MSHP).
Mr. Churchill received both his Bachelor’s Degree and Master’s Degree from Northeastern University from Boston University and has a faculty appointment as Clinical Professor of Pharmacy Practice at Northeastern University, Bouve College of Health Sciences.

Schaeffer joined St. Clair Hospital in 1986 and is responsible for establishing strategic IT direction for the hospital. Recently, Schaeffer has been focused on St. Clair Hospital’s strategic advancement toward being a fully digital hospital. He oversees a number of projects aimed at migrating the hospital toward a paperless environment using mobile, handheld, wireless devices at the point of care. Schaeffer spearheads the systems implementation of handheld technology at the hub of all bedside safety initiatives. These initiatives have lead to
St. Clair Hospital being recognized by VHA and IHI as a leader in designing innovative processes resulting in measurable improvement in quality and safe patient care.
St. Clair Hospital was recognized by HIMSS at the 2008 conference as one of the first six hospitals in the country to merit the coveted Stage 6 designation for achievements in EMR adoption.
Schaeffer has dual degrees from the University of Pittsburgh and has contributed to achieving several technology patents for the organization. He is a frequent speaker on the topics of wireless mobile technologies within the healthcare industry and has given prior invited presentations at the HIMSS Conference and Exhibition, VHA Leadership Conference, RFID Journal Live Conference, National Institute of Health (NIH) CRIS Conference, World Healthcare Innovation and Technology Congress, and numerous others.
