Terry Schwinghammer, PharmD, BCPS, Chair and Professor, Department of Clinical Pharmacy, West Virginia University School of Pharmacy
I have been a pharmacy practitioner and educator for over 30 years. I am currently Professor and Chair of the Department of Clinical Pharmacy at the West Virginia University School of Pharmacy.

Joseph Barone, PharmD, Professor and Chair, Department of Pharmacy Practice and Administration, Ernest Mario School of Pharmacy, Rutgers University
Joseph A. Barone, Pharm.D., FCCP, is Professor and Chair of the Department of Pharmacy Practice and Administration at the Ernest Mario School of Pharmacy of Rutgers-the State University of New Jersey. Dr. Barone is on the State of New Jersey Health Planning Board and also currently serves on the State of New Jersey Health Emergency Preparedness Advisory Council. He formerly Chaired the Executive Committee of the New Jersey Medical Emergency Disaster Prevention and Response Expert Panel (MEDPREP).
A Fellow of the American College of Clinical Pharmacy, Dr. Barone received the 1990 Hospital Pharmacist of the Year award from the New Jersey Society of Hospital Pharmacists, and the 2003 Education Award from the American College of Clinical Pharmacy. He is a past Chair of the Section of Teachers of Pharmacy Practice of the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy. The author of numerous publications, Dr. Barone is also a reviewer for the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy. His research, clinical, and continuing education presentations include topics on leadership, faculty mentoring, and disease state outcomes. Dr. Barone currently serves as Co-Chair of the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital.
Dr. Barone received his Pharm.D. from St. John’s University College of Pharmacy in Jamaica, New York in 1981. He completed an advanced pharmacy residency in Emergency Medicine in 1982 in the Department of Pharmacy Practice at the University of Illinois Medical Center in Chicago where he also served as Chief Resident.
Maureen Knell, PharmD, BCPS, Clinical Associate Professor, University of Missouri - Kansas City School of Pharmacy and Medicine
Maureen Knell received her doctor of pharmacy degree from The University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Pharmacy and completed an ASHP accredited residency in Pharmacy Practice at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. Dr. Knell joined the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Pharmacy faculty in 1997. She is currently a Clinical Associate Professor in the Division of Pharmacy Practice. She practices in the area of ambulatory care at the Saint Luke’s Multi-specialty Clinic in Kansas City, Missouri. Dr. Knell is a board certified pharmacotherapy specialist.
Dr. Knell’s primary responsibilities include participating in interprofessional, patient-centered care and education in the Internal Medicine, Anticoagulation and Chronic Pain Clinics within the Multi-specialty Clinic. Dr. Knell’s practice and scholarly interests include chronic pain management, diabetes mellitus type 2, heart failure, anticoagulation and other cardiovascular diseases and conditions. In addition, she and her students provide annual education and assistance to the clinic’s patients for selection of Medicare Part D plans. She precepts both pharmacy students and residents on rotations, as well as didactically instructs pharmacy and nursing students in the classroom setting. In addition, she is involved in the interprofessional training of medical students and medical residents. Dr. Knell has participated as an invited presenter at regional and national meetings, and authored several papers and book chapters in the areas of arthritis, dietary supplement use, interprofessional education and under-served ambulatory care populations. She is past recipient of the UMKC Preceptor of the Year Award and Missouri Health System Pharmacist of the Year Award.

Victor Yanchick, PhD, Professor and Dean, Virginia Commonwealth University School of Pharmacy
Victor Yanchick is currently Dean and Professsor of Pharmacy at the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Pharmacy. He also is the 2008-09 President of the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy. Dr. Yanchick received his BS degree in pharmacy as well as his MS degree in Hospital Pharmacy from the University of Iowa. He also completed an ASHP-accredited residency at the University Hospitals in Iowa City, Iowa. He received his PhD degree in Pharmacy from Purdue University. He was named Distinguished Alumnus from both the University of Iowa and Purdue University. He has published many articles in the areas of geriatrics and gerontology, authored several book chapters, and has given over 200 presentations to professional groups and conferences. He served as a member of the AACP Commission to Implement Change in Pharmaceutical Education and has served as a member of the Board of Directors of AACP on three separate occasions.
