Sharon Murphy Enright is a pharmacist and has been a consultant to healthcare provider organizations including hospitals, health systems and health plans, physician practice groups, long term care organizations, healthcare associations and group practice organizations, the investor community and to the pharmaceutical and device industries for over 20 years. With a focus on leadership development, change management, strategic forecasting, quality and performance improvement, pharmaceutical marketing and safety of the medication use process, Enright has been a speaker for a host of audiences and is a frequent contributor to the professional literature. Her knowledge of pharmacy operations, organizational design and culture, change management, emergent pharmacy practice issues and a global perspective on the emerging health care landscape, health economics and payment systems enable her to provide insight and perspective related to the medication use process and the business of pharmacy.
Enright is a graduate of the University of Connecticut School of Pharmacy (BS, Pharmacy) and the George Washington University (MBA). She completed an ASHP accredited residency at Yale New Haven Hospital as well as the Executive Residency in association management at the American Society of Health System Pharmacists. She is currently Senior Manager with Ernst & Young’s Health Science Advisory Services (HSAS) in Richmond, Virginia. She serves as the service line leader for Managed Care and Medicare Part D service offerings within the Operations Efficiency and Pharmacy Solutions practice. |
PRESENTER(S):
Sara J. White, MS and FASHP, is currently a Pharmacy Leadership Coach. In 2004 she was an ASHP Foundation Scholar in Residence on Pharmacy Leadership. From 1992 to 2003 Sara was Stanford Hospital and Clinics, Director of Pharmacy and Clinical Professor, UCSF School of Pharmacy. She was Associate Director of Pharmacy and Professor at the University of Kansas Medical Center from 1972-1992. Sara completed a BS in Pharmacy from Oregon State University, MS from Ohio State University and an ASHP accredited Residency at the Ohio State University Hospitals and Clinics. She has served as ASHP president in 1996 and received the Harvey A.K. Whitney Award in 2006 |
Philip E. Johnson, MS, RPh, FASHP
Phil Johnson is the founding Director of Pharmacy at the H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center and Research Institute, an NCI Designated Comprehensive Cancer Center on the University of South Florida campus in Tampa, Florida. His accomplishments at Moffitt include developing and implementing numerous treatment guidelines, a hospital-wide research department, research committee, ethics committee, and ASHP certified oncology specialty residency. During his career he has opened three new hospitals where he developed patient focused clinical pharmacy services along with multidisciplinary teams for nutrition support and pain management.
Mr. Johnson received a BS in pharmacy and chemistry at the U. of Illinois, and a MS in Administration and Organizational Development at George Williams College. He has faculty appointments with several colleges of pharmacy including the U. of Florida, NOVA, Shenandoah, FAMU, and Florida Atlantic. Mr. Johnson has published several articles and abstracts in the field of clinical pharmacy, pharmacoeconomics, and reimbursement and serves on several advisory boards. He is a founder and board member of the Florida Cancer Pain Initiative (FCPI), and the Hematology Oncology Pharmacy Association (HOPA) which he currently serves as Treasurer. Mr. Johnson has a gubernatorial appointment to the Florida Department of Health serving on the Wholesaler Taskforce. He is on the Oncology Committee of the National Quality Forum (NQF), and the Guidelines Committee of the Association of Community Cancer Centers (ACCC). Mr. Johnson is the pharmacist representative to the Florida School Health and Education Consortium and has a grant to study medication safety and compliance in the Florida public school system.
