Mr. Kastango received his Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy degree from the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Allied Health Sciences (1983) and a MBA from the University of Phoenix (2001). Since 1980, he has practiced pharmacy in a number of practice settings (including hospitals, community, and home care) in a number of different of roles, including the Corporate Vice President of Pharmacy Services for Coram Healthcare Corporation. Mr. Kastango is the founder and President of the consulting company, Clinical IQ, LLC based in Florham Park, New Jersey, started in 1999.
Mr. Kastango is a Fellow of the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists. Mr. Kastango has over 150 invited professional presentations on a variety of quality systems and pharmacy practice topics in the United States, Japan, China, Australia, New Zealand, Holland, Ireland and the Czech Republic. He is a member of the 2005-2010 USP Council of Experts, Sterile Compounding Committee. |

Larry Trissel obtained his Pharmacy degree from Butler University and has a 37-year career that included positions in the United States Public Health Service, the National Institutes of Health, Food and Drug Administration, the National Cancer Institute, and the M. D. Anderson Cancer Center. Larry is best known as the author of the Handbook on Injectable Drugs, a core pharmacy reference work found in nearly every hospital and home care pharmacy in the United States and in most of the rest of the world as well. He has also authored 5 other books currently in print and the new electronic resource Trissel’s 2 Clinical Pharmaceutics Database. In addition, he is the author or co-author of more than 230 articles, book chapters, editorials, etc. including 195 original research articles. Larry is a member of numerous professional organizations and societies, including the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists and the American Pharmacy Association. He has been the recipient of a number of awards and honors throughout his career, including the APhA Distinguished Achievement Award in 2002 and the Award for Sustained Contributions to the Published Literature from ASHP in 1996. He was recently selected to be a Distinguished Alumnus of Butler University in its Inaugural Class. |
