James T. Lussier is founder and principle consultant with The Lussier Center/TLC which is focused on the quest for personal and organizational performance excellence. He has served at the executive level and as a CEO in health care organizations and served as President/CEO and Board member of St. Charles Health System in Ben and Central Oregon. He has provided counsel and training to hospitals and health systems in the Netherlands, Africa, Japan, Canada and the United States. He also serves as a consultant with Transformation Systems International/ The Performance Center. Jim as has a long professional relationship with the American Society for Healthcare Engineering (ASHE).
Jim is active in Rotary International and is the 2013-2014 Rotary District Governor for District 5110, covering the southern two-thirds of Oregon and the northern part of California with 72 Rotary Clubs overseeing service projects locally, regionally and world-wide.
Mr. Lussier is an active member of a number of boards and commissions. He currently serves on the Board of Volunteers of Medicine Clinic for the Cascades, Sparling Corporation and the Facilities Guidelines Institute Board and Health Guidelines Review Committee where he has served as Chair of Research and Development. Jim has previously served as both member and President of the Oregon State Board of Higher Education, overseeing the seven public Universities in Oregon and the Oregon Health Policy Commission.

Description
Jim Lussier, former president and CEO of St. Charles Medical Center, Bend, Ore., will challenge health care facility professionals to be leaders regardless of their title or their position on the organizational chart. He will explain how personal accountability, open and direct communication, ethics, and setting and achieving bold goals shape leaders and give them a stronger foundation for supporting their organizations’ missions in the face of disruptive change.
