Description
Orlando Health found that its facility portfolio lacked empirical data on the condition of assets and systems, creating a barrier in strategic decision-making that made it difficult to secure adequate annual funding for deferred maintenance and renewal projects. This session will provide insight into the health care network’s approach to central management of condition data, deferred maintenance requirements, and the need for capital renewals. This session will enable you to:
Describe the benefits of instituting central management of information on facility conditions, including what data is collected and how it is managed in a software system.
Provide sound and irrefutable evidence to validate funding requests.
Apply a phased approach to facility assessment.
Review how empirical data is gathered and managed.
LEARNER OUTCOMES:
-
Appreciate the benefit of establishing a phased approach to facility assessment.
-
Extrapolate the benefit of providing sound and irrefutable evidence in order to validate funding requests.
-
Review how empirical data is gathered and managed.
