Description
Many organizations struggle with how best to meet the Joint Commission’s expectations regarding data analysis. The focus on using performance measurement just to maintain compliance can prevent an organization from realizing the impact and the contribution that data have to further the organization’s mission of providing quality and effective care. This session will discuss the real meaning of these Elements of Performance and present strategies that can be employed to make this analysis less of an exercise performed to meet a requirement, and more about becoming a desirable method for managing the physical environment. This session will enable you to:
* Discuss the data analysis requirements regarding performance measurement in relation to patient safety and quality care. * List variations or factor that can impact data and need to be addressed to allow for predicable variation.
