The 2010 edition of the Guidelines for Design and Construction of Health Care Facilities is currently being revised, and the participation of the health care community is key to “getting it right” for the new 2014 edition. With the public proposal process closing on October 31, 2011, there still is time to submit changes to be considered by the Health Guidelines Revision Committee (HGRC). This session will highlight the preliminary work of the HGRC, provide guidance on how to submit proposals, and provide participants with an opportunity to submit input directly to HGRC committee members. This session will enable you to:

* Describe basic elements of the Guidelines text being suggested for revision that will directly affect health care facility design and construction projects in the next few years.
* Discuss issues within the 2010 edition that authorities having jurisdiction may expect your projects to comply with.
