Description
Eventually, all health care facilities will need to be built or retrofitted to accommodate intelligent system management and automation. Gain an understanding of what will be needed to implement, support, and manage these systems in terms of design consideration, implementation costs, and expected return on investment. This session will enable you to:

* Describe what is meant by “intelligent building” and its importance in the health care physical environment.
* Develop a checklist that can used to determine if a facility has the appropriate foundation to support an intelligent building infrastructure.

LEARNER OUTCOMES:
  • Be able to determine whether their facility is putting in foundation for an intelligent building
  • Find low-cost measures that can be implemented in facilities now to help save money and create intelligent building environment.
  • Understand the technology system requirements to share with in-house IT dept for future planning.
  • Understand what an intelligent building is and why it is important.
