Mike Crowley began his career as a Fire Protection Engineer with Rolf Jensen & Associates (RJA) with a BS in Fire Protection and Safety Engineering, and earned an MBA along the way. He is active in NFPA Technical Committees including NFPA 150 Standard on Fire and Life Safety in Animal Housing, NFPA 101 Healthcare Occupancies and Means of Egress, and NFPA 99 Fundamentals Committee Chair. Mr. Crowley is a Life Safety Code instructor teaching for NFPA. He is currently Senior Vice President and Healthcare Market Leader for RJA. Mike is a consultant to architects, facility managers and building owners around the world.

During this case study presentation, you will hear the challenges that an urban hospital faced as a result of needing to comply with the concurrent requirements of four major regulatory jurisdictions and two different codes. Learn how a code comparison report can be used to identify and resolve the conflicts that arise from the need to meet multiple codes. This session will enable you to:
