Dr. Campbell is Chair of the Facility and Property Management program at Brigham Young University. He is the author of over 45 articles and books and is an international speaker, researcher and consultant. His work experience includes Director of Construction for Flying J, Inc. He has twice been named the IFMA Educator of the Year, and has twice won the IFMA Distinguished Author of Instructional Materials. In 2005 he was named an IFMA Fellow. He has served the U. S. government on the committee for Business Strategies for Public Capital Investment, National Academies of Science. Before becoming an educator Dr. Campbell worked as a healthcare administrator with FHP for 5 years.

Description
The results of an independent study on what facility managers (FMs) see as the challenges of health care construction will be shared during this session. You will gain an understanding of these complex issues and hear how they are being addressed. Learn how to support the health care facility manager in creating stronger working relationships. This session will enable you to-
• Explain, using qualitative research results, how to work with health care facility managers to build strong project team partnerships to optimize the health care physical environments that are delivered.
• Apply the research findings to develop strong project teams for specific health care facility PDC projects.
• Create multidisciplinary project teams, as shown in the research, that have a clear understanding of their roles in the design and delivery of high-quality health care facilities.
• List three project delivery concepts, as shown in the research, that facility managers and the rest of the project team should agree on when developing projects for the health care built environment.
