Short Bio Richard Armstrong, CHFM CHE
Mr. Armstrong has been active in the Facilities Management industry for over thirty years. His results driven accomplishments are in areas of Project and Facilities Management, Construction, Plant Start-up, Engineering, Energy Utilization & Systems, Strategic Planning, Facility Planning and Design and Business Development.
He currently serves as the Director, Facility Services for St. Josephs Hospitals, BayCare Health System. Previously he served as Director, Facility Planning & Construction and served as Regional Director, Facilities Management where he directed operations within a multi-hospital regional health network of a national healthcare company. Mr. Armstrong is also President of Armstrong Facilities Solutions, Inc. a facilities management consulting service.
His facilities/energy performance programs have resulted in providing significant energy savings and pollution reduction in facilities across the U.S. With these contributions he received numerous commendations from the US EPA and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. His program obtained national recognition when one of the hospitals was named EPA Energy Star Buildings/ Green Lights 1998 Healthcare Partner of the Year.
He holds a BS in Technology from Bowling Green State University, Ohio and a MS/MBA from Frostburg State University.
He is a member of American Society for Healthcare Engineering (ASHE), Florida Healthcare Engineering Association (FHEA), and holds several US Patents.
