When disasters occur, institutional response teams turn to their emergency operations plan (EOP) to find outlines of specific response strategies and inventoried lists of emergency communication resources, equipment, and other important information. The real challenge is to make your EOP accessible to staff who require access and to present this comprehensive information in a simplified form. This case study illustrates how Children's Hospital Boston used an information management approach to accomplish this goal. This session will enable you to—
