Robert Copeland, FACHE, Chief Executive Officer, McCune-Brooks Regional Hospital

Robert Y. Copeland, Jr, FACHE, CEO, McCune-Brooks Regional Hospital Mr. Copeland currently serves as Chief Executive Officer at McCune-Brooks Regional Hospital. His prior administrative experience includes hospitals in Oklahoma City, McAlester and Tulsa, Oklahoma; and Branson, Missouri. Bob received his Bachelor�s degree in Business Administration from the University of Oklahoma and a Master�s degree in Health Administration from the Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. Bob is Board Certified in Healthcare Management and a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives, serving as a Regent. He is active in the Missouri Hospital Association, as a member of the Board of Trustees and serves on several committees. Bob has looked beyond the traditional paradigms of healthcare management, and led his team and community in creating an inspirational patient care experience. He is an active evangelist in improving how patients and families are treated on not just the physical level, but the, emotional and spiritual as well. Bob and his team challenged themselves to look for truly better ways to serve the healthcare needs of the community, adding services sorely needed in the community. He has been actively coaching other healthcare leaders in the process of creating patient-centered environments in their own communities. Bob willingly shares tactics and techniques with other organizations, and offers advice to those who would follow in his footsteps.

Description

McCune�Brooks Regional Hospital transformed the patient experience by designing a significantly different architectural environment. Like other health care facilities, McCune�Brooks faced many operational and financial challenges, including competition from two large health care systems and a decline in revenues. This case study will examine how one hospital rethought and reinvented its health care organization. This session will enable you to�
