Description
This case study examines a northeastern hospital that faced a reduced steam load, high energy costs, and the probable replacement of two old firetube boilers that were significantly oversized for the need. Rationalizing the reduced steam requirement while using in-service efficiency criteria as the screening tool led to a boiler system that not only saved capital costs but also resulted in significant improvements in energy costs and greatly reduced the carbon footprint. This session will enable you to—
• Assess your boiler plant as it relates to proper load match for optimum boiler efficiency.
• Discuss in-service Efficiency and its application in proper boiler selection.
-
Acquaint the audiance with the latest in new boiler technology
-
Apprise the audiance of what "In Service Efficiency" is and how it can be applied for proper boiler selection.
-
Assess their own boiler plant as it relates to proper load match for optimum boiler efficiency.
