Andrew Meyers has six years of engineering, design, and on-site experience in the healthcare and utility construction sectors. Projects include designing a half million square foot hospital expansion, and performing field engineering duties on site at two large power plant projects. He is currently an Associate at Mazzetti & Associates, an MEPT engineering and consultant firm based in San Francisco, CA.
Description
Electrical worker safety is of the highest importance to responsible organizations. This session enables attendees to interpret the requirements of training and protection of electrical workers who install and service electrical distribution equipment/components in healthcare environments. At the end of this session, attendees will be able to: - Understand how NFPA 70E applies to healthcare facilities and projects - Assess the implications to the operation and maintenance of healthcare facilities - Realize practices that can be used to vastly increase the safety of the healthcare workplace
