Description
Most medical and research facilities in the United Stated do not have adequate emergency management and recovery plans in place to prepare for, and quickly recover from a major disaster, and few are properly prepared to respond to FEMA in an efficient, economical, and timely manner to facilitate fund recovery. This session will present a six step process which will provide an organized approach to developing an inventory, assessing the risks, storing information in a FEMA ready format, updating the data regularly, implement recovery strategies, and submitting the documentation. This session enables attendees to: Understand what it takes to prepare for a disaster both physically and operationally and to be prepared to communicate with FEMA post disaster and recover funds quicker.
