Description
This session will focus on the NFPA 110 EPSS testing and maintenance requirements, and where they fit into Utility Management and Emergency Management programs. Correlations between NFPA 110 and new TJC requirements as highlighted in the revised 2008 ASHE Management Monograph on Emergency Power Systems will be discussed. The session enables attendees to:
- Assess the impact of existing testing and maintenance programs on the operational reliability of their existing EPSS's and Essential Electrical System branches
- Describe significant quality improvements they can undertake to improve their existing EPSS reliability
- Assess their existing EPSS testing and maintenance programs against NFPA 110 and position them to get ready for anticipated changes in the 2009 revision.
