Description
Dental faculty are asked by their department chairs or an appointment, promotion, and tenure committee for evidence that their teaching merits consideration for scholarship. The goal of this hands-on, case-based, and interactive workshop is to assist those faculty by providing practical approaches and strategies for transforming teaching into SoTL.

Learning Objectives
• Describe what makes teaching scholarly
• Describe skills and methodologies that help develop scholarly teaching
• Describe strategies to demonstrate the scholarship of teaching by making it public
• Discuss approaches and methods to documenting teaching excellence
• Discuss strategies to elevate the scholarship of teaching and learning that allows for the recognition and reward of faculty contributions
