Learning Objectives
• Operationally define effective mentorship practices
• Detail the stages of mentoring
• Experience various mentoring strategies from the perspective of both the mentor and the mentee/protégé
• Share experiences and lessons learned from mentoring experiences

This interactive, case-based participatory workshop will explore the effective dynamics of the mentor-protégé relationship. Based on best practices and guided by current research, new and experienced faculty and administrators will explore the complexities of mentoring culture to develop the confidence and productivity of new faculty, and thereby increase their retention.
