• Discuss and review the federal and commission recommendations that led to the creation of Interprofessional Education Programs (IPE)
• Learn how Saint Louis University's definition of IPE is operationalized in the development and implementation of the interprofessional curriculum:
• Understand how IPE is a viable option to address the need for curricular change and innovation in dental education
Given the need for redesigning the curricular components of health care education, and for implementing them in an educational model that integrates competencies from a broad group of professions, the presenters describe the Doisy College of Health Sciences at Saint Louis University's working model of Interprofessional Education.
