Description
In addition to blending green chemistry and sustainability into the chemistry curriculum, chemists should also think outside the “chemistry box.” This talk will focus on a multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary master’s degree in Sustainable Technologies Administration. Students with undergraduate degrees in the STEM disciplines will be admitted to this program. The course of study is a 2/3, 1/3 split of courses in the STEM disciplines (one course in environmental and green chemistry) and in business, with all the courses taught through the lens of sustainability. Each of the courses will have an applied research component and there is a two summer internship. The intention of this program is to educate individuals who can guide business/industry and governments along a path toward a sustainable/green economy.
