Description
Problem solving in immunohematology relies on effective use of test methods and experience of the technologist and supervisor in the critical evaluation of the case history, serologic, molecular and other test results as well as careful consideration of the clinical features of the case. This program will discuss key points of the testing two case studies. The speakers will use the tools in the immunohematology toolbox to take the participants from the start of serologic evaluation and further testing to transfusion recommendations and product procurement showing how to effectively interpret and translate the findings along the way.
-
Discuss case-critical observations and serologic test results.
-
Discuss case-vital results to include communications to clinicians, physician assistants and transfusion service staff.
-
