Agreements & Environmental Services: Asking the Right Questions
Description
Cell therapy laboratory (CTL) staff focus on processing and testing CT products using validated processes and assays. However, the CTL environment, the backbone of the operation, may not be a high priority. Have you ever asked yourself what does negative air pressure really means? Have you looked at the environmental staff's cleaning bucket and wondered where else that mop has been? Have you wondered what options exist for building clean rooms? This session will use these questions as the platform for each presentation. The first speaker will explain air pressure settings to ensure that attendees can discuss air pressure requirements with facility engineers. Then, barrier isolation technology will be introduced as an alternative to traditional clean rooms. The last speaker will discuss agreement preparations, focusing on agreements between the CTL and EVS, and how to ensure that the hospital's cleaning staff are trained to meet the CTL's needs.
-
Describe barrier isolation technology for use in CT product manufacturing.
-
Discuss agreements between the CT laboratory and hospital-based environmental services (EVS).
-
Identify airflow categories (positive and negative pressure) in relation to cell therapy (CT) facilities, processing and environmental monitoring requirements.
