The Baldrige Criteria for Performance Excellence have been in use for more than 22 years and have played a significant role in business competitiveness. The criteria were formed based upon leading business theories and have been used as a practical approach for businesses seeking to improve their performance and competitive advantage. This session will provide an overview of the Performance Excellence Criteria. Examples of how organizations have applied this approach to achieve success and improvement will also be discussed. Finally, while few blood centers have embarked on this approach, the speakers will discuss one blood center's current journey.
