Utility of an Anesthesia Information Management System to Analyze and Improve Blood Utilization
Description
With improvements in information technology in hospitals and the potential to connect blood bank computer systems with other hospital and patient data, there are opportunities to leverage these information technology (IT) improvements towards better transfusion practices and safer transfusion purposes. This session's speakers will describe their improvements with the use of information gathered outside of the blood bank through IT, to enhance the level of review or services that they provide.
