Description
Are you tired of doing manual antibody identification, wasting panel cells and tech time trying to identify the right cells to complete the antibody identification? Antibody identification software can solve these issues. An overview of current software solutions will be presented by current software users who work in a transfusion service and a reference laboratory. Mergers and construction of new facilities present new challenges for the transfusion service. Learn how one presenter took a 2,500-square foot basement room and turned it into a functioning transfusion service in 12 months. During the last portion of the session, a panel of hospital chief techs will facilitate discussion of hot topics and current practices. The audience will be able to participate using rapid-response technology.

  • Discuss current "hot topics" and practices relevant to the transfusion service through rapid-response technology.
  • Discuss mergers and new construction of medical facilities, how they are affecting the transfusion service and what transitional steps need to be taken in order for a smooth outcome to occur.
  • Review current software solutions to help identify red cell antibodies and provide an educational tool in transfusion services and blood banks.
