Description
The lecture will review the accomplishments of Emily Cooley, namely as a landscaper, medical illustrator, and renown medical technologist specializing in hematology. It will explain how studies using various techniques (e.g., hemagglutination, immunoblotting, transfection, cloning and sequencing genes) have help to unlock information about the function of proteins that carry blood group antigens. The lecture will describe the value of collaboration and give examples.
