Then individual presentations will focus on competency assessment in a variety of settings: donor center staff, hospital transfusion services and Immunohematology Reference Laboratory staff, and physician and nursing staff. The speakers will focus on a variety of approaches to meet requirements beyond rotating proficiency testing samples and perhaps a knowledge test or requirements to read SOPs. Examples and scenarios will be used throughout the presentation to illustrate the many facets of competency assessment and demonstrate some approaches to create the comprehensive assessment process that will demonstrate your staff's competency to perform their assigned tasks.
