Description
This session will cover the topic of NHSN Hemovigilance Module adverse reaction case definitions. Utilizing the standardized case definition criteria, the presenter will discuss the more common reactions reported to the community hospital transfusion service. The need for collaborative effort with nursing for recognition and reporting of the reactions will be addressed. Dr. Puca will explain the importance of Hemovigilance for the hospital.
