Description
Applying the CMS billing and coding rules to manual and automated billing for transfusion service can be challenging. The best way to bill
depends on the particular circumstances, products used, and billing software. This
session will provide an overview of inpatient and outpatient billing and review changes in billing for 2012. Audience members will have the opportunity to practice selecting appropriate codes and have their billing questions answered. Topics include problem areas such as antigen typing, irradiation, and prepooled components.
