Description
OBJECTIVES:- Describe the outcomes of studies on coagulopathy in trauma patients and associations with morbidity and mortality.
- Assess newer protocols for treatment of trauma patients including the use of fresh blood and the use of cell saver and plasma transfusions.
- Review data on massive transfusion protocols involving the use of higher or lower plasma transfusions and laboratory assessment of coagulopathy.
