OBJECTIVES:
- Review the biochemical characteristics of blood group antibodies to carbohydrate antigens.
- Evaluate the differential regulation of glycosylation on red cells and platelets.
- Investigate the relationship between blood group polymorphisms and susceptibility to infectious agents.
