Description
OBJECTIVES:
- Review how pathogen inactivation technology has improved the platelet inventory, reduced expiration of platelet products and decreased costs at one center.
- Determine how to apply Lean principles to improve donor wait times, better utilize staff resources and improve donor satisfaction.
- Describe how Lean methodologies can improve the Quantity Not Sufficient (QNS) rates of individual phlebotomists.
