Description
This will be a workshop on how to develop, implement, and continue to improve massive transfusion protocols. Areas of focus will be product inventory, such as availability of thawed plasma, use of pre-pooled cryoprecipitate, and use of group O Red Blood Cells. Additionally, points of discussion will be adequate laboratory support including coagulation testing, tracking product wastage, turnaround times and other quality indicators.
