Description
This event provides an opportunity for a panel representing various public and private perspectives to discuss the current landscape in biovigilance. Included will be representatives from the CDC's National Healthcare Safety Network - Hemovigilance Module, AABB's Biovigilance Working Group who developed the definitions and content of the Hemovigilance Module, AABB's Donor Hemovigilance Working Group, and AABB's Patient and Donor Safety Center. Questions for the discussion can be submitted before the scheduled session via the AABB Web site beginning in September, as well as during the session.

Describe the rationale behind the development of the hemovigilance forms and definitions used in the Hemovigilance Module.
