Advanced Serologic Case Studies
Description
The serology involved in identifying and teasing out different red cell antibody specificities holds interest for many laboratory professionals. Assigning specificity is a process which can take many hours and require use of many techniques. In a case study approach, two expert serologists will take the audience through the process of testing required to identify selected red cell antibodies, including a description of the advanced techniques used to arrive at their ultimate interpretation.
-
Describe the advanced use of serologic techniques involved in these identifications.
-
Discuss case studies in serologic red cell antibody identification.
-
Review the quality control measures and cautions imbedded in these techniques to prevent a use that is not indicated or an interpretation which is not clear-cut.
