Description
This session will focus on the current state of granulocyte transfusion. An author of a recent Cochrane Review on granulocyte transfusion, will review the medical evidence supporting the use of granulocytes as well as gaps in our knowledge. The study chair for the RING trial will update the status of clinical trials of granulocyte transfusion.
- Discuss the current medical evidence of the efficacy of granulocyte transfusions.
- Identify gaps and weaknesses in the current evidence supporting granulocyte transfusion.
- State the eligibility criteria, outcome measures, and current status of the RING trial.
