Description
Although the transfusion service in many hospitals has multiple interactions with the patient floors, not all transfusion medicine physicians consistently interact directly with the clinicians, write notes on patient charts, or bill for their consulting services. During this course, the speakers will present their approaches on how to communicate with clinicians, how this communication is documented, and what kind of documentation to submit for reimbursement purposes.

  • Describe different approaches to communicate with the clinicians.
  • Discuss reimbursement issues.
  • Review the different documentation formats.
