Description
As a continuation of the academic career advancement series that started in 2009, this event will include basic training for paper and abstract writing. The targeted audiences are resident physicians, transfusion medicine fellows, junior faculty, and academically orientated technologists and nurses. The speakers for this session include several experts in transfusion medicine: a statistical expert and associate editor for the journal TRANSFUSION, and the chair of the AABB abstract committee. There will be formal presentations, questions and answers and open discussion.

  • Define the best approaches to present statistical analysis.
  • Identify essential components for a successful submission of meeting abstracts and manuscripts.
